Impact Consultants provides pro-bono support to local nonprofit partners in areas of need, including marketing, business development, budgeting, and strategy. The program also gives talented, qualified MBA students the opportunity to apply classroom concepts to real world challenges, preparing them to become community leaders.

Students, or Impact Consultants, are placed in teams of 4 and matched with a single nonprofit partner. They are also assigned a mentor from a leading consulting firm to provide additional guidance. Working approximately 3 hours per week for 10 weeks, students align with their nonprofit liaison to create deliverables that provide tangible benefit to the organization. Impact Consultants then present their results to nonprofit leadership in December, and to the Georgetown community in January.

Nonprofit parters are asked to:

• Clearly identify a project their team can accomplish in 20-30 hours of work time (per person)

• Identify a staff person or board member to briefly check-in with their Impact Consultants every 2 weeks (via phone, email, or in-person)

• Complete a mid-program and post-program evaluation of their Impact Consultants

• Allow Impact Consultants to present their final deliverable to senior leadership
