The MBA Finance club serves as a focal point for students interested in careers in finance. The club
prepares it’s members for the career search process and offers valuable opportunities to build client
relations and intellectual growth through networking, education, and training.
Finance Day provides attendees with the opportunity to gain knowledge about the diverse and rewarding career paths within the robust discipline of Finance. This one-day event touches on everything from Investment Banking to Development Finance in Emerging Markets. Panel discussions give students exposure to industry practitioners.
Wall Street Week
Week-long trek to New York City in late October to meet various Financial Institutions and learn more about potential career opportunities in Investment Banking, Sales & Trading, Private Equity, Investment Management, Equity Research and Corporate Finance. This is an important opportunity for first years to learn more about summer internship structures and network with McDonough Alumni working on Wall Street.
Assist MBA Students in preparing for careers in Finance through resume reviews, mock interviews, career panels and communication with club members and alumni with careers in Finance.
Day-long seminars provide opportunities for practical application of academic knowledge that will prove important to a student’s first year summer internship, i.e. Valuation Training, Bloomberg, and Financial Modeling.
